Elongated paddles

Elongated paddles are about 16.5 in long and 7.5 in wide. The extra length gives reach and leverage on drives, serves and overheads; the narrower face means a smaller sweet spot side to side, so they ask for cleaner contact. Popular with singles players and people coming from tennis.
