JOOLA Scorpeus Pro V 14mm vs Selkirk SLK Valkyrie Widebody
Two standard paddles, side by side. Specs are the published figures; prices are what US stores charged at our latest check, shipping included.
What actually separates them
- Selkirk SLK Valkyrie Widebody has the thicker core (16 mm against 14 mm). Thicker cores usually feel softer and more controlled; thinner ones give more pop.
- The cores are built differently: JOOLA Scorpeus Pro V 14mm is honeycomb with foam edge, Selkirk SLK Valkyrie Widebody is honeycomb. That is usually the difference you feel first on contact.
- Selkirk SLK Valkyrie Widebody has the longer handle (5.6 in against 5.25 in), which matters if you hit two-handed backhands.
- Grip sizes differ: JOOLA Scorpeus Pro V 14mm is 4.125 in around, Selkirk SLK Valkyrie Widebody 4.25 in. An overgrip adds size; nothing takes it away.
